How Should I Take My CBD?
Frequently Asked Questions
No. CBD is not psychoactive. CBD is completely different from THC and does not affect the same receptors. This means CBD cannot get you high.
CBD Isolate only has one compound in it, Cannabidiol (CBD). Full-Spectrum CBD contains more cannabinoids than just CBD. While CBD is amazing, other cannabinoids may have their own unique health benefits which you might be missing out on by just using CBD. We recommend most users begin with Full-Spectrum.
Our Full-Spectrum contains CBD, CBDV, CBG and THCV. CBD is great for general anxiety, sleep and pain. CBDV may have neuroprotective benefits which could help someone with dementia out potentially. CBG is a powerful anti-inflammatory with benefits for IBS. THCV is non-psychoactive and actually like the opposite of THC. THCV reduces your anxiety & appetite and increases your mental focus.
Our Full-Spectrum only has a trace amount of THC in it - 0.3%. This is not enough to get you high as it is such a low amount. Also, any effects of such low THC amounts would be cancelled out by the CBD & THCV in our Full-Spectrum.
The THCV in our Full-Spectrum is non-psychoactive and actually blocks receptors that respond to THC.
As opposed to Isolate CBD (which is just the pure CBD extracted from hemp), Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract is the full plant extraction of hemp meaning you get the full and natural cannabinoid profile from the hemp plant for the most complete benefits.
This is why the Full-Spectrum may have a slightly herby or grassy taste compared to the CBD isolate. But compared to other brands, our Full-Spectrum still has a cleaner and lighter taste as we use Organic MCT coconut oil as the carrier oil vs. other brands that use hemp or grapeseed oil.
Everyone responds differently to CBD depending on their own unique body composition.
For our oil tinctures, we suggest starting with a dropper (1mL of oil) and adjusting dosage sizes and dosing times based on results.
While there is no universal dose, you can check out our CBD Dosage Guide for a standard amount to begin with.
In lower doses, CBD can actually be energizing and stress-relieving. This is why starting your mornings with a smaller dose of CBD can help to clear your mind and have you feeling more focused to take on the day.
In larger doses, CBD is calming and pain-relieving in addition to anxiety relieving - which makes it perfect for relaxing in the evenings and sleeping better at night.
One way to get both the energizing and relaxing benefits of CBD, is to take a small dose in the mornings (half the amount of your regular dose) and then to end your day with a large dose of CBD.
Simply put, nobody has ever died from a CBD overdose. The fatal dose would require drinking dozens of entire bottles at once - which we definitely don't recommend!
Furthermore, the World Health Organization has declared CBD to be a safe, effective and non-addictive source of relief.
Our CBD Pet Products are 100% THC-Free, so you don't have to worry about getting your pet high. Our CBD Pet Products are made using CBD Isolate, so they don't contain any THC.
You can apply our CBD Pet Oil directly to their mouth using the Oil Dropper provided. Or, you can also apply the oil on top of their food.
For pets that may be sensitive to fatty oils or coconut/salmon, we recommend applying the CBD Oil to their food to help prevent indigestion or giving them our CBD Dog Treats instead.
CBD can be safely used for your pet throughout the day.
Some pet owners find CBD works best given once in the mornings. Some find a single dose is enough, given at night to their cat or dog. Other pet owners find that three doses taken in the morning, afternoon and evening works best.
For pets with mild symptoms, a single daily dose may be sufficient. For those with more severe symptoms, you may want to consider giving your pet multiple dosages in a day.
