CBD Information

Cannabidiol is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp. We also naturally produce CBD in our bodies!

Cannabidiol is one of more than 100 different cannabinoids identified in hemp.

No. CBD is not psychoactive.

CBD is completely different from THC and does not affect the same receptors as THC. This means CBD cannot get you high.

CBD Isolate only has one compound in it, Cannabidiol (CBD). Full-Spectrum CBD contains more cannabinoids than just CBD. While CBD is amazing, other cannabinoids may have their own unique health benefits which you might be missing out on by just using CBD. We recommend most users begin with Full-Spectrum.

Our Full-Spectrum contains CBD, CBDV, CBG and THCV. CBD is great for general anxiety, sleep and pain. CBDV may have neuroprotective benefits which could help someone with dementia out potentially. CBG is a powerful anti-inflammatory with benefits for IBS. THCV is non-psychoactive and actually like the opposite of THC. THCV reduces your anxiety & appetite and increases your mental focus.

Our Full-Spectrum only has a trace amount of THC in it – 0.3%. This is not enough to get you high as it is such a low amount. Also, any effects of such low THC amounts would be cancelled out by the CBD & THCV in our Full-Spectrum.

The THCV in our Full-Spectrum is non-psychoactive and actually blocks receptors that respond to THC.

As opposed to Isolate CBD (which is just the pure CBD extracted from hemp), Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract is the full plant extraction of hemp meaning you get the full and natural cannabinoid profile from the hemp plant for the most complete benefits.

This is why the Full-Spectrum may have a slightly herby or grassy taste compared to the CBD isolate. But compared to other brands, our Full-Spectrum still has a cleaner and lighter taste as we use Organic MCT coconut oil as the carrier oil vs. other brands that use hemp or grapeseed oil.

THCV is not psychoactive and will not get you high. In fact, THCV has the opposite effects of THC.

While THC increases anxiety, decreases concentration and elevates appetite, THCV actually decreases anxiety, increases concentration and mood and suppresses hunger. THCV also blocks receptors that respond to THC, helping to counteract the negative effects of THC when taken together with it.

We are proud to bring the rare and exclusive THCV to our fellow Canadians in our Full-Spectrum Products.

The best way to start with a mild dose and gradually increase your dosage based on how you feel and your desired effects. You can start with 0.5-1mL of CBD Oil, one CBD gummy or a grape-sized amount of CBD cream. Then, gradually adjust your dose depending if you feel it’s less or more than what you would like to feel.

CBD can be used in the morning (generally in lower amounts) to clear your anxiety and boost your focus, or at night in larger amounts for relaxation and a deeper sleep. One way to get both benefits of CBD is to take a small dose in the morning and a larger one before bed.

Another way is to just use your CBD as needed, re-dosing when you feel you need it.

Everyone responds differently to CBD depending on their own unique body composition.

As an easy method for our oil tinctures, we suggest starting with 0.5-1mL of oil and adjusting dosage sizes and dosing times based on results.

While there is no universal dose, you can also check out our CBD Dosage Chart for a recommended amount to begin with.

In general, CBD Oil should last you about 6-12 months after opening the bottle so long as it’s kept away from direct sun, heat, moisture and the open air. A good place to store CBD Oil is in a cool, dry area like a kitchen drawer or medicine cabinet.

We recommend eating a healthy diet full of variety and rich with omega-3s which help fuel the endocannabinoid system. Having fresh fruits and vegetables may also help as they contain terpenes (the smell and flavour molecules) that can have synergestic effects with CBD. There is also research that suggests Turmeric, Black Pepper and Resveratrol may help increase the absorption of CBD.

Also, consuming CBD at the same time you have a meal with healthy fats (like in fish, eggs, avocados, nuts, dark chocolate or coconut oil), may help to increase your absorption. One study found this increased absorption by as much as 4-14 times. This may because CBD is fat soluble, which means CBD binds to fat. This is why we use Organic Coconut MCT Oil as the carrier oil in our oil tinctures as it helps increase absorption of the CBD.

Simply put, nobody has ever died from a CBD overdose. The fatal dose would require drinking dozens of entire bottles at once – which we don’t recommend! Furthermore, the World Health Organization has declared CBD to be a safe, effective and non-addictive source of relief.

We do not suggest using CBD if you are pregnant. Consuming CBD while pregnant will pass the CBD on to the fetus, which may have unknown effects on infant development.

We also do not recommend using CBD while nursing, as CBD can enter the breast milk if consumed by the mother and be passed onto the infant.

It is best to resume CBD-use after the nursing stage has been completed.

For most users, the effects of CBD are immediately noticed. For others, results may take up to 1-2 weeks to be felt. If you are not feeling the CBD effects in the first 3 days, we also recommend you increase your dosage strength and to even take our CBD 3 times daily. This will help saturate your body fully with CBD as you adjust to its restorative, pain-relieving and stress-reducing effects.

Please also note that our CBD Products were formulated to not give you any high. So the effects may be more subtle than other CBD products containing high levels of THC.

If you are using an oil, please also place it under your tongue for at least 30 seconds to a minute before swallowing. This will allow for the fastest and fullest absorption of CBD, straight to your bloodstream via the “sublingual gland” under your tongue. This is why CBD oils have a higher absorption rate than CBD edibles which must first be digested before being absorbed in the gut.

If your CBD Oil gets frozen, there’s no need to worry.

Freezing the CBD Oil does not impact the potency of the CBD at all. In fact, freezing it is the best possible way to preserve its freshness.

So simply thaw the CBD Oil and use it as you normally would.

This does not mean you need to freeze your CBD Oil, as it’s pretty much overkill. Most customers will be use the entire bottle of oil long before it expires. Keeping it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat and air is enough to keep your CBD Oil lasting up to 1 year after being opened.

Product Information

All our products are made with pure all-natural ingredients, including organic hemp and the highest-quality organic MCT oil.

Our Full-Spectrum tinctures differ in that we offer the additional cannabinoids of CBDV, CBG and THCV on top of CBD. Each cannabinoid offers unique benefits that other Full-Spectrum brands simply don’t have.

THC-V is different from THC, chemically and in its effects. However, we cannot guarantee whether or not THCV will have an effect on a drug test as this is currently being researched and validated.

All our products are produced in Canada under the most rigorous safety and quality assurance standards by our CBD experts.

Just like our CBD Oil, all our products should last you up to 6-12 months after opening so long as they are kept away from direct sun, heat, moisture and the open air. If unopened, our products may have a shelf life of 2 years.

Freezing or refrigeration is usually not necessary as most customers will consume their products long before any expiry date.
