Add Matcha For A Boost Of Energy Without The Crash

Matcha is a green tea powder from Japan made from the tea plant Camellia Sinensis.

It’s full of vitamins & antioxidants and is known for reducing inflammation, boosting energy, & supporting brain functions. 

While Matcha is known as a source of caffeine it also has a calming effect on the nervous system. Due to the special way farmers harvest the tea in the shade it holds a high amount of the amino acid known as Theanine.

Theanine reduces stress and is known to aid focus & concentration. So while Matcha may give you a boost of energy & alertness, it is relaxing at the same time.

This combination of theanine and caffeine also means that matcha will give you a more stable and steady increase of energy vs. caffeine which can give people a sudden spike of energy then a crash.

And by having a small amount of CBD with your caffeine and theanine, you can even further enhance this feeling of a more stable and calm boost of energy!


  • 2 Cups medjool dates, pitted

  • 2 Tsp Matcha powder

  • 1-2mL of CBD Oil

  • 3/4 Cup Almond flour

  • 1/2 Cup Hemp seed
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla extract

  • 1 Tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 Cup Water

*For added protein, add a scoop of your fave protein powder. And for chocolate lovers, you can add some cacao powder to taste.


01 – Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. Set aside.

02 – Place a few spoonfuls of shredded coconut into a separate small bowl or dish. Later, the Matcha balls will be coated with these shreds.

03 – Add all ingredients to a large food processor or blender.

04 – Blend until it forms a paste-like texture. If your mixture is too crumbly, meaning not sticky enough,  add a splash of water until the consistency is to your liking.

05 – Using a large spoon, scoop the mixture roll into 1” balls.

06 – If you like, you can roll the balls in the dish with the coconut until fully coated.

07 – Place finished balls onto the parchment lined baking sheet.

08 – Place the sheet of balls into the fridge for 2 hours to allow them to firm.

09 – Enjoy!

TIP: These can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
