🎄 Give a warm Holiday Cheers with this special homemade Gingerbread Hot Chocolate. Made with creamy coconut milk, winter spices & rich chocolate topped off with our vegan whipped cream.
It’s the sweetest treat to cozy up to on a cold winter day. Warm up and wind down with a healthy cup of cocoa.
This recipe is quick and easy to make. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and let them melt & mix into a nourishing cup of creamy goodness. We recommend dosing your CBD individually into the mug and then giving it a good stir.
That way you can get exactly the dose you are wanting. Top with our tasty coconut whip! Try making the whipped cream first so you can put it onto your warm cup of cocoa as soon as it’s ready.
Gingerbread Hot Chocolate
- 2 Cans of full-fat coconut milk
- 1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate
- 1/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 Cup maple syrup
- 1-2 Tsp Gingerbread spice
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 Pinch of sea salt
- CBD Oil – Add your desired dose directly to your mug
Whipped Coconut Cream
- 1 Can of full-fat coconut milk
- 1 Tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup (optional as a sweetener)
- Top with grated cinnamon or chocolate shavings (optional)
Part 1 – Making the Whipped Coconut Cream
01 – Put your can of coconut cream in the fridge overnight, this allows the cream to solidify which is what is needed to whip it. If there is water that has separated from your hardened cream, put the water aside and use only the solid cream
02 – Cool a metal bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes before you make your whipped coconut cream
03 – Then, scoop the solid cream out of the can and into the bowl. The liquid can be used for other recipes of your choice. Add in vanilla & sweetener of choice
04 – Use a hand mixer with a whisk attachment to whip the cream. Whip until it thickens and it the consistency you would like it to be
05 – Serve immediately or cover and store in the fridge until you’re ready to serve
Part 2 – Making the Gingerbread Hot Chocolate
01 – Add the coconut milk, chocolate chunks, cocoa powder, maple syrup, gingerbread spice, and a pinch of salt to a large pot and heat at a medium temperature. Stir often so the milk doesn’t burn.
02 – Once heated take the pot from the stove and pour it into mugs.
03 – Add your desired dose of CBD.
04 – Top with a large dollop of whipped coconut cream & sprinkle cinnamon & chocolate shavings.
05 – Enjoy!
